Transam Shazam

APT member Dunny making a trek across the USA on two wheels.
Transam Shazam will tell you about his travels...check it...

In other news...

APT memebers W2 and Rommie agree on pretty much everything...EXCEPT the game of the player above. Ouch.

ATL evened the series last night...game 5 in Boston tomorrow night and APT is hosting. Wear you green, wear your red...however, Red Sox jerseys will have to be checked at the door...

Just a few shots from last night...APT cannot resist...images courtesy of Yahoo.com.

JJ gobbled up the C's last night dropping 20 in the 4th.
Question: Who was guarding this guy?
Answer: I thought you were?

You have to love a team that plays with reckless abandon...

Ray-Ray and Sammy are like WHAT?!?!? (You HAVE to click for larger)

The M83 joint was the first...this has got to be the second...

And the third...well, you know Kells always got something to add to your summertime soundtrack...

APT Flick of the Week

Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Premise: Ultra lazy TV theme song composer (Peter) learns that his hot actor girlfriend (Sarah) is now snogging an obnoxious British neo-hippie pop star (Aldous). This film is too funny!

Just is case you thought APT was sleeping on Earth Day here comes a conscious joint from our boy Aldous.

Segel kills it as writer and star under the yoda-like tutelage of master funny man Judd Apatow. This is a classic heart crushing break-up film with knee slapping silliness of the best kind. Segel honed his cringe-tastic form of girl worship on APT favorite F & G's. Who could forget...

Live from APT Rep. on the Radio

The Burlington, VT correspondent of Live From APT can now be heard on the radio across the world, via the world wide interwebs.

Burlington has a new low-watt fm station which started in December, broadcasting on 100 watts to Burlington and a few neighboring towns. Now it is blasting out to the universe from www.theradiator.org

My show is called 'The Everchanging Minstrel' (named after a show my dad had on the local NPR station when I was growing up) and is on Thursdays 6-8pm Eastern. It's an eclectic folk show, interpreting "folk" in a broad sense as music made for the people, by the people.

Past set-lists can be found at www.everchangingminstrel.blogspot.com or on the radiator site under 'music playlists'

Check it out this Thursday evening if you are near a computer!

p.s. I'll be on radio-hiatus after this week until July 1st because I'll be in ME!

Not so Golden State

So NBA playoff time is upon us. Frankly, I could not be more excited. My beloved Boston Celtics are relevant. The Pistons are dynamite and the Western Conference is so deep top to bottom that APT favorites, the Golden State Warriors will be watching from home.

Hearbreaking is too strong a word...especially with all the trials and tribulations of the day...but we wanted to take a moment and give some love to three of the most entertaining ballers in the league. Until next season gentlemen.

W2 fav Monta Ellis (think Allen Iverson)

Roomie fav...Stephan Jackson (what is in the cup Jax, shout out to Isreal?)

And in case you forgot, "Mr. Entertainment" himself Baron Davis.

We don't have to change at all...

In the spirit of late 70s/early 80s kids T.V., check out this clip of King of Pop MJ and Roberta Flack from Free To Be You and Me:

MJ's sporting bell-bottomed overalls, pretend-smoking a giant spliff and totally laying it down smooth-like with his honeyed voice. Roberta too!

APT Flick of the Week

Peeping Tom. 1960.

This film follows a young male serial killer who wields a video camera to record his victims' final breaths. British directorial legend Mike Powell turns the audience into voyeurs as they enter into this tale of Freudian obsession. While his film came on the heels of Hitchcock's Psycho, it certainly carves out its own niche.

Paving the way for movies like Manhunter, Gone Baby Gone, and former Faith No More frontman, Mike Patton's band...Peeping Tom (see below), this film gets the APT seal of approval.

Arsenio Hall - A Tribute

Long overdue, APT would like to present a tribute to one of its fav shows of all time for live musical performances and celeb interviews...The Arsenio Hall Show.

Airing from 1989 to 1994, Arsenio Hall took over for Joan Rivers after she was canned. This show’s free flowing nature and unpredictability are only rivaled today by Ellen and Oprah, both of whom owe a lot of credit to Hall for their own show’s format. Hall's questions were always relaxed, peeps' answers felt real and musical acts were allowed to play back to back songs if he was feelin' it. Watch him interview Sam Kinison…it’s like you are sitting on the couch right there with both of them. Hospitality...just like at APT...

Grab a drink, some chips and salsa and check it...

Agent Orange

Portland, Maine has a problem. In and around our fair city, there are many old, banged-up, run-down, and generally bashed houses that are screaming for our attention. As city hall sleeps you wonder if the houses need to "scream" a little louder.

Activists from Detroit, Michigan calling themselves DDD (Detroit. Demolition. Disneyland.) may have found an answer on how to inspire change. Check the pics.

They are putting their day glo tiggeriffic orange where their mouth is and they are getting results. Could Portland be next?

In other news...grab your party hats because it is a very happy year one for little big man Nico Doyle and his proud parents, T-Bird and Block Party. All love from APT.
