Live from NY

In case you missed it, these girls knocked it out the box last night in the Saturday Night Live season opener (click the brightly colored word for the video).

This spot does raise a question, is Tina Fey more qualified than Sarah Palin to be a VP candidate. Working for Lorne Micheals has to be at least as challenging as running Alaska. And if Tina Fey could be VP, how far away from a VP spot is somebody like, I don't know, ME?

I got a library card, beard, minimal credit card debt, a decent pair of New Balance running shoes, and a slick pump fake. I have been overseas. What more do you need these days?

W2 for You in 2012! Believe that shit! Vote early because I may forget that I am running.

Hoop Dreams

For those of you who haven't checked it out yet, hulu.com is a legitimate place to see tv shows and movies. It is the big biz's attempt to combat all the youtube and other pirating that goes on. Pretty cool, and I just found this on there. One of the best documentaries ever

Hoop Dreams

Enjoy!

Ravonettes Free EP

This crew made one of the best albums of the year...so far. Now they are making like everyone else and putting some Candy Corn in our Halloween Pumkin Baskets. Get it at Vice.

I have a blogging problem.

One More

I have little impulse control. This one is just too good. I loved this show. When this came on, it represented hour number six of TV on a Saturday morning. It is a miracle that I can function at all. I watch 98% less Television now then I did as a kid...until basketball season anyway.

PS Check this NBA clip from last season. APT crew was at this game. This interview is awesome. Watch it till the end when KG busts open CS.

El Manicero's Top 4 no 5 theme songs

Okay, so W2 took Wonder Years so in the interest of being non-repetitive I won't use that one but here we go. Damn this is hard, keeping it to just five turned out to be a real challenge...And I tried to exclude newer songs and just keep it to childhood memories:

Man, I loved this show when I was a kid, and I loved the theme song. I even used my old boom box to tape it by putting the little external mike up to the tv speakers. (A technique I used often as a young music fiend)

5. Family Ties

4. Greatest American Hero

3. The Hulk (The Lonely Man) End Credits

2. Laverne and Shirley

1. Cheers

Honorable mentions:

Dukes of Hazard
(really should be in my list, regretting it now)
Hunter Theme

Matlock Theme

Perfect Strangers

Night Court
Silver Spoons

Enjoy!

W2's Top Four TV Show Theme Songs

4. Geeky, perhaps. But the show was so funny. I was like nine and only got half the jokes, but it shaped my sense of humor forever and this simple ditty made me happy.

3. DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince did a beat box version of this one...backwards!

2. I had a hard time figuring out who was hotter, the mom, the sister, or the brown eyed girl. Peep the theme.

1. Run-away winner! Oh, oh,oh!
