I am on Memorial Day lockdown nursing tired legs and qualitative research article induced paper cuts. But making time for a tour around the web is never a problem. The morning surf produced big smiles and some head scratching weirdness.
-Stop by Allmusic for an amazing article about the origins of the sexy shift in 70's LP cover art.
-Try and digest Grizzly Bear's weird new video.
-Chose sides...both here and here!
-Finally, and this one is for the fellas, pick up a good book, your masculinity just may depend on it!

BIG NEWS here.
This almost clocks in at 60 min, but it is worth it. Best is when he gives a shout out to his lady...
This is just as good...Daily Show Moment of Zen re: Bobby Jindal's response to Obama's speech...
This guy needs to be wollaped upon. Although...somehow I see a "2009" UNH student resembling W2 bobbing his head a little. Weezer meets Sublime at a party...they are introduced by Stifler.
BANK.
Also...HORRIBLE.
Also unable to look away.
When this guy when down for the season, I declared to W2, "The Magic are done. You know who's runnin' the point? JJ Reddick."

The next game, homeboy went 4-5, dropping 17 on the Atlanta Hawks.
Then, I email W2 JUST THE OTHER DAY and tell him that Devan Harris, despite making that amazing shot, is not as good as everyone says he is (he turned the ball over 4 times in the 4th quarter in that Sixers game.)
And of course...

...he drops 42 on the Bulls last night.
Forty Two.
The lesson here? Whoever I tell you stinks...
Ok, now the good news...

This is what I am having for dinner tonight. Photos to come...

Countdown to the election...with sweet potato pie!
It's a well-known fact that the folks at APT love pie. It's also probably pretty well known by know, that we (I'm pretty sure this is unanimous) also support Barack Obama. It's a good thing too, because our Democratic nominee ALSO has a love for that great American dessert.
The ladies over at Nothing-in-the-House are hosting 'The Great Obama Sweet Potato Pie (Presidential) Contest' in honor of these mutual loves. In the final days before the election, support your candidate by hosting an Obama pie party-- make and eat some delicious sweet potato pie (extra points if you have an Obama or political themed crust design) and get out the vote: call folks in your community, knock on doors, volunteer to drive someone to their polling place, or make sure everyone has a fair chance to vote at the polls (info on ways to lend a hand on Obama's website.
Document those efforts--pie and political, and we'll post a montage on the pie blog.
Obama: A lot of people have been saying they can make sweet potato pie.
Us: YES WE CAN!

YES WE CAN
Super/Fat Tuesday and at 10:45 EST. time, Obama is leading 197 delegates to 190. I am keeping some fingers seriously crossed for Cali. These cats are too:
