Adele
Not my style of music at all, but this girl can sing...21 years young and quite effortless...don't sleep.
Lily Allen
This lass does ska-pop with Xtra sugar...youngsters at W2's school were playing this the last time I was there...but what is this above you see? Country? Bold.

Things have not been easy in the Motor City. Seriously. Time to meet the new Mayor.

The Hunt For Gollum
Just when you thought I couldn't out geek myself. Yesterdays BJORK post may have fallen on deaf ears, but I know Dr. D will crawl out of the woodwork for this one.
Here is the deal. Fanboys and girls have pulled together to direct a short film that follows the Heir of Isildur; the “greatest huntsman and traveler in Middle Earth” as he sets out to find the creature Gollum. Dr. D, I expect a full explanation in the comments section!
The 38 minute film dropped yesterday. Watch it here. Roomie, I promise no more posts involving dragons or trolls for at least a month.

Wanderlust
Shifting gears from all things NBA Playoffs. I like lists. And random questions, most often asked during too much time in the car.
For example, I might throw out "who are your favorite left handed professional basketball players of all time?" Or, "If you were stuck on a deserted island for the rest of your life, and there just so happens to be a VCR player wired into a palm tree, what five movies would you bring?"

One of my favorite questions of all time is, "If you could see one band, just one act at anytime in history, who would it be?"

The answers are usually iconic. Elvis, The Grateful Dead, Zep, Fugazi, Nirvana, Miles Davis, Cold Crush Brothers, The Pretenders, Jonny Cash, Curtis Mayfield, or maybe Ike and Tina. But I tip my cap to my boy the Mad Scientist, who picked the following artist, who is very much alive, touring, and putting out music videos that stop time. In honor of the Celtics victory and puppetry, peep The Dancer in the Dark.

To each his or her very own. Bring on the Orlando Magic.
