The blog machine has been busy hyping folk stud Bon Iver. He is making his way to Portland on Monday at our beloved Space Gallery. Dr. D has been on me to give some APT love to his new favorite artist for awhile now. Think Iron & Wine and Devendra Banhart. Homeboy took up in a rural Wisconsin cabin (Ray LaMontagne style) and set about crafting some killer songs. Bring your berets, showtime is 9 pm.

"bring your berets" has to be one of my favorite APT lines {and there are many} of all times. xx
Who is the folkie among you? Love this and Lisa Hannigan... LWissink
LW,
We all have a little folkie in us. Live from APT is Portland ME's very own King Roomie Rock.. by way of IU and Chicago. W2 is the screaming bearded one...of whom you are familiar. Emily is a vermont based bluegrass lass. At the bottom of the post you can see who is responsible for each. Thanks for reading and posting. Much love.
Homeboy is on Jagjagwar...label based out of, Bloomington, Indiana. Check out their father label, Secretly Canadian. The Impossible Shapes, Magnolia Electric Co./Songs Ohia, Swearing at Motorists, Dave Fischoff for a start...
old time, pas bluegrass, svp. but thanks for the shout out.
The show was amazing. Bon Iver rocks! Pick up the album, "For Emma, Forever Ago" ASAP... Or I'll burn you a copy.
