Although I haven't seen the film yet, I have read the short story. After just wrapping up a unit with my junior honors students at school over F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, I was intrigued to learn that this new Brad Pitt flick was based on one of Fitzgerald's early short stories. Certainly a shift from the style and intention we usually associate with the author, but a good read nonetheless.
