The Snowman

Speaking of favorite holiday films, Dr. D's got a favorite of his own. It may come as no surprise that it involves a male protagonist embarking on a journey of epic proportions. Although instead of carrying the burden of a powerful ring, and having to destroy it in the belly of Mt. Doom, this classic involves building a snowman... AND having it come to life... AND having that very snowman hook you up with a magical ride to the North Pole to visit the notorious mastermind behind Christmas himself. Note that there are NO words in the film. It's deep, intense, emotional. I always cry at the end when the snowman melts. And the "Walking in the Air" theme is unforgettable.

Last time I checked they were selling all 28 minutes of the film on DVD for only $5.00 at Hannaford! Check it out this holiday season!
